I recovered the refrigerant, replaced the compressor and the compressor wiring harness, and installed a new liquid line filter drier. I brazed with nitrogen purging, pulled a deep vacuum to below target microns, and weighed in the charge to spec.

After startup I confirmed proper refrigerant pressures and superheat/subcooling within range, and the compressor amp draw was normal. The supply/return temperature split looked good and the system cooled steadily on departure.
