Air Filters There are many types of air filters to choose from. The best for your home depends on the design of your system and the amount of airflow that passes through the filter. Upgraded filtration systems will remove more particulates and contaminants from the air.
Air cleaners and air purifiers: Air cleaners and air purifiers are your frontal assault on indoor air pollution. They remove dust, pollen and other contaminants from the air directly.
Energy recovery ventilators: Energy recovery ventilators complement your existing air conditioner or heat pump by exchanging stale indoor air with fresh outdoor air without sacrificing cooling power. It’s like you’re opening a window to let in fresh air without the downside of undercutting your cooling system.
UV lamps: UV lamps use ultraviolet light to kill germs and other contaminants in the air. They’re often used near other heating and cooling systems.
Our indoor air quality experts will gladly work with you to find the right IAQ solutions for your home and budget.

Air Conditioner Replacement and Installation
If you have an aging or deteriorating air conditioner, you’ll need a reliable and efficient AC replacement system to maintain a good level of comfort. Either way, our air conditioner installation team has you covered.
Good heating and cooling contractors understand that every home has unique climate control needs. At AZ Perfect Comfort, we start all of our installation projects with a load calculation, a process that uses your home’s square footage, layout, insulation, and other factors to determine exactly how much cooling power and airflow you need. Because improper sizing is one of the most common causes of air conditioning issues down the road, we’ll insist on doing a load calculation even if we’re replacing an existing system. After all, your old air conditioner may not have been sized correctly, or your home’s cooling load may have changed over the years.
Finding the Right AC Unit for Your Anthem Home
Once we know how much cooling power your home needs, we’ll work with you to find the right air conditioner to suit your cooling load and budget. We carry a range of air conditioners to fit different price points, and we’ll help you compare the short-term and long-term costs of each. With the right air conditioner in hand, we’ll install it in your home, making sure it meets the manufacturer’s specifications as well as state and local codes. You’ll be set up with effective cooling for years to come.
We also Install and Maintain:
- • Ductless Mini-Split Air Conditioners
- • Single Room Air Conditioner
Heating Service and Repair
The Phoenix area may be known for its scorching heat, but that doesn’t mean residents can afford to neglect home heating. Every family needs a heat pump or furnace to keep warm no matter how cold the winter weather gets, and because utilities are such a large part of most homeowners’ budgets, maximizing energy efficiency without sacrificing comfort is always a top priority. At AZ Perfect Comfort – Phoenix, we’re proud to help keep Phoenix warm during the colder months by providing professional heating repair, installation and maintenance.
Heating Installation and Replacement
If your heating system is not performing well, our heating installation team has you covered. We sell and install a variety of heating systems, including:
These gas or electric systems use forced hot air to heat your home, distributing it through the duct system. Furnaces provide effective and reliable heat, and they can last 20 years or more with good maintenance.
These are dual-use systems that function as air conditioners during the summer, then reverse the cooling cycle to bring heat into your home during the winter. Heat pumps are a popular option among Phoenix homeowners because they work well in the area’s warm climate. However, they may require a bit more maintenance because they pull “double duty” and run throughout the year.
We’ll start your installation or replacement project with a heat loss calculation to determine how much heating power your home needs, then work with you to find the right heating option to meet those needs. Our installation technicians know how to install all of these systems up to the manufacturer’s specifications as well as state and local building codes.
Heat Pump and Furnace Repair and Service
Furnaces and heat pumps are all relatively complex machines with a number of interconnected components. As such, even a small issue with one component can have a big impact on the whole system’s performance.
With a maintenance agreement from AZ Perfect Comfort, you can have the peace of mind that comes from knowing all of those little issues are resolved. Our technicians will find and repair any small, emerging problems before they can cause permanent damage, saving you money on repairs and system replacement. Moreover, we’ll make calibration adjustments to improve energy efficiency and save you even more on utilities.
We believe the best approach to repair is prevention, but even a well-maintained system may run into problems on occasion. Frequently Asked Questions
Please Select Your Question Category
What is the SEER Rating?
The SEER (seasonal energy efficiency ratio) is how the efficiency of your heating and cooling equipment is measured. The SEER is the amount of cooling your system will deliver per dollar spent on electricity, as compared to other systems. For example, a 3-ton unit may have a SEER efficiency rating of 13, 14, or 15. The higher the SEER the more efficient the system will be. The SEER rating of any given unit can range anywhere from 13 to 21.
Why is the SEER rating on the Energy Guide different than what my dealer quoted?
Each split system cooling unit has a nominal SEER rating. This rating can be increased with the upgrade of the same series indoor unit. The SEER rating of a system is derived based on the combination of equipment installed in the home. The outdoor equipment (heat pump or air conditioner), as well as the indoor equipment (evaporator coil and furnace, or air handler), play a vital role in the total rating.
Why should I have regular (or preventative) maintenance? And how often should I have it performed?
Your heating and cooling systems work incredibly hard to perform their functions for your home everyday. The constant stopping, starting and continual operation can wear down any machine if the proper care and maintenance is delayed. However, by performing regular maintenance, you can maximize the lifecycle of your heating or cooling unit and guard against many common equipment failures. Preventive maintenance inspections performed on a regular basis can uncover leaks, rust, rot, soot, frayed wires and corroded electrical contacts that the naked eye may not notice. You should have maintenance done on your system regularly to ensure maximum efficiency and allow prevent possible problems that may occur in the near future.
What equipment requires regular (or preventative) maintenance?
At least twice a year, heat pumps and air conditioners require a professional tune-up. Because gas-fired equipment functions with greater efficiency, they only need to be serviced once each year. Inspections furnace systems should include ductwork, pipes, dampers, valves, the flue pipe, registers, pumps, blowers, gas lines, and every part of the actual furnace. Meanwhile, heat pump and air conditioning unit inspections should also include inspections of the fan, compressor, indoor coils, outdoor coils, and refrigerant lines.
I need help troubleshooting a problem with my equipment.
As your local Trane dealer, AZ Perfect Comfort is your troubleshooting expert, and is glad to help you. In addition, Trane also provides a network of troubleshooting technicians at Trane Distribution centers across the country which AZ Perfect Comfort will utilize to solve your concern. Should we encounter a situation that requires additional factory help, we will contact our factory supported Service Manager(s) for assistance.
What are the advantages of a programmable thermostat?
Since they are electronic, programmable thermostats are more accurate and efficient than thermostats that contain mercury. With programmable thermostats you can control the temperature in your home at different times of day without ever touching your thermostat. Because everything is automatic, you will never forget to change the setting on your own.
What type of filter should I use? And how often should I replace it?
Standard filters work to keep your system and its ductwork clean, but they don’t really improve indoor air quality. To do that you need a media filter. The media filter rests between the main return duct and the blower cabinet and will improve dust and particle removal by seven times that of a standard filter. However, upgrading to a pleated media filter will remove everything from insecticide dust to airborne viruses from the filtered air. Always choose a filter that matches your blower’s capacity. For optimum efficiency and filtration, AZ Perfect Comfort recommends that you replace your disposable filters at least once a month. If you have washable filters, they should be cleaned once a month.
Where can I get parts for my HVAC system?
AZ Perfect Comfort is the best resource for identifying and supplying the correct, current parts for your system, as well as pricing and availability.
Which HVAC equipment will best fit my home?
There are many factors that affect the sizing and specifications of your system, including square footage, insulation, window surface and configuration, geographic location of your home, duct sizing and arrangement, and many others. AZ Perfect Comfort can perform an in-home load analysis to determine which equipment combinations will perfectly suit your home and your family’s needs. Depending upon the construction of your home, one (1) ton of air conditioning can cool anywhere from 300 to 800 square feet of home. The only way to insure the size of the system you purchase will be large enough to cool your home, but not any larger than you need, is to have your home’s individual heating and cooling needs evaluated by a licensed professional.
What does my warranty cover?
Under the standard factory warranty, most manufacturers cover parts that fail during the warranty period due to defects in the part. The warranty does not cover labor. A warranty certificate was included with your homeowner information packet and is specific to the model numbers, serial numbers, and installation dates of your products. If you cannot find your warranty certificate, AZ Perfect Comfort will also be able to provide you with the information.
